On Wednesday October 7th, the UNCW Storytellers had our first performances at Alderman Elementary. What an amazing first experience! We were welcomed by the teachers and staff with smiling faces. We performed for children from Kindergarten to fifth grade. This video is of our Storyteller Talene performing Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes. Chrysanthemum is a story about bullying and having confidence in yourself. The children were lively, engaged, willing to listen and participate. Alderman Elementary made us feel welcome and excited to continue the rest of the semester! Thank you so much Alderman Elementary for an exhilarating first experience. You were a wonderful first audience!
