Hawk Tale Players
The Hawk Tale Players began in the Spring of 2013. These performers transform personal interviews with residents into interactive one-person shows to promote the importance of listening to and valuing the experiences of others and to foster a love for storytelling in daily life and on the stage.
The Hawk Tale Players create 5-8 minute interactive monologues to perform for grades 2-6. Student performers rotate through 2nd-6th grade classrooms for up to 60 minutes between 12:30 and 2:30 on Wednesdays. While the Hawk Tale Players are open to performing for any group, we prioritize Title 1 schools in our performance groups. All performers are enrolled in COM 413 and manage the website, video recording, and social media sites while performing with the troupe.
