UNCW Storytellers

The UNCW Storytellers transform children's literature into interactive one-person shows between 5-8 minutes for elementary students to encourage literacy and give children a window into what college can be like. The troupe is open to performing for all children but prioritizes Title-1 schools in performance bookings. Individual performers rotate through classrooms to perform and take questions for up to 60 minutes. Shows can take place anytime between 12:30 and 2:30 on Wednesdays. The UNCW Storytellers tour during the Fall Semester. All performers are enrolled in COM 212 and perform, film, and manage the online presence of the troupe throughout the semester.
